Surprise

I am a blessed individual. I even love the folks at the OSU pharmacy today for taking such good care of me over the last year or so. Where red tape has come up in other areas, they always do what pharmacists in the movies do... they help you get what you need to get done... well... done. And they smile a lot. Good. Very good.

My wife called me today and told me to look on Dan Thress' blog to see what other people had thought of the poetry slam. I was floored. I am so amazed that my poetry went over so well... even though I made it only to the second round I got some Huge props from people that I have trouble accepting (call it the "unable to accept praise thing") so I won't dispute it and I'll leave it at that.

Thank you all.

In other news, I still haven't gotten any of the books I ordered over 4 WEEKS AGO from a once reputable and well liked by me company. Now I'm just angry and I want my 150 dollars worth of books. Pronto. Tout de suite. SCHNELL!

Ah America, breeder of impatience, how have you gotten to me. I used to think I was innoculated against thee by my Europeen trips. But the vaccine seems to have weakened, and I fear I may need to henceforth and forthwith (tally ho?) proceed straight to a plane bound for Paris. Or Strasbourg. I liked Strasbourg better. It was smaller and had better Doner Kebab stations. And a nifty librarie.

Okay... off to do what I do best. Go meet Amanda at work.
