Okay, one month ago I was in the midle of everything FINALS. In between then and now I've had one successful paper, one not-so-succesful paper (but in a subject area that I'm not at all experienced in), and another job-location change.
I'm no longer in the classroom, it's back to the I.I. center for me, and for the summer, that's just fine.
I noticed just then that my comma situation seems to be out of control again. I'm so used to vocal inflection and poetic pauses in my head that they just come right out in the writing I'm doing. Sorry to all you grammar people out there. I am one of you but I can't be held accountable for what I do before 10am on any given day.
Speaking of poetry and of my stalled poetry blog, the reason I'm not currently updating "Bad Poetry" is because I'm going to have a poetry feature on the 20th of July at Kafe Kerouac in the Campus area. It's a new poem night with the Writer's Block Poetry group, and that means that I'm not allowed to have performed the poems anywhere. For my own sake this means I'm not going to post them until the feature is through so that I can use them all in good conscience.
Nevertheless, here are the subjects for some of my more recent poetic outings...
An ambush by squirrels
The Amish Mafia guy
My lovely wife
Someone named James David Lepperacci
Oh the fun. Most of these poems are still in the process of being worked on, but they should be great fun to perform if I get them to where I want them.
Okay, enough for now.
A+
