Long time no post

I still exist. This isn't just a passing phase, at least I don't think it is.
Amanda and I voted today. As far as I know we both voted for the same presidential candiate. The line was so long that I took us an hour and a half to get into the booths, even though we got to the polls just a few minutes after they opened. However, I must say that I am very happy to see people actually taking the time to vote this time around. I have never been in a voting booth before, as I voted by absentee ballot in 2000, and it was an interesting experience. I don't really trust the electronic voting booths all that much, I mean, how exactly do they recount. I guess they won't lie unless someone puts a virus in them, and I don't know how that would happen... listen to me! I'm starting to buy into all that "the world is trying to get you" crap that I swore I wouldn't ever buy. It's hard though, because when you are as exposed to the messages of terror and horror and difficulty that the media projects day in and day out, it becomes something you really begin to believe.
Enough of that now. I have to work on my classes now, I'm presenting in a few minutes, Un Coeur Simple by Flaubert, too many commas, they are, starting, to, en,cr,oa,,,,,,ch upon me,,,,,....!!!!!!!!! Hmm... this blog isn't all that different from my old blog. Go figure.
Off to class now.
We'll soon know who the next leader of the "free" world is.
